It is not readily decomposed in the dry state, while its aqueous solution is easily damaged and loses efficacy above 5℃.
- CAS No.
- 77-06-5
Name: Gibberellic Acid
Common name: Gibberellin Acid
Physical and chemical properties:
The technical material is a white crystalline powder, sparingly soluble in water, benzene, nitrogen and the like, and soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone and a phosphate buffer of pH 6.2. It is not readily decomposed in the dry state, while its aqueous solution is easily damaged and loses efficacy above 5℃. It decomposes readily on contact with alkalis.
Properties and characteristics:
Gibberellic acid (commonly known as 920) is one of the five major natural plant hormones and a plant growth regulator. It can promote cell division during the growth and development of plants, so it is widely used to promote early maturity, increase yield, break the dormancy of seeds, tubers and tuberous roots, and promote germination, tillering and bolting, and to raise the seed-setting rate. It is especially effective in solving the problem of mismatched flowering periods in hybrid rice seed production. It is widely applied to fruit, vegetable and other crops.
Formulation types:
Gibberellic Acid 4%EC
Gibberellic Acid 40%SP
Packing: liquid formulations 10ML-200L; solid formulations 1G-25KG
