Chloro(chloromethyl)dimethylsilane (CAS NO: 1719-57-9)

Industrial Organosilicones

Chloro(chloromethyl)dimethylsilane (CAS 1719-57-9) is a chlorosilane monomer manufactured in China, supplied by professional Chinese manufacturer for functional silicone and polysiloxane synthesisne

CAS No.
1719-57-9

Chlorosilane intermediate that hydrolyses to silanols bonding to oxide surfaces; used in surface treatment and silicone polymer synthesis.

Packed with 5L, 20L or 210L plastic/steel drum, 1000L IBC container, or according to customer’s requirement.

Product NameChloro(chloromethyl)dimethylsilane
CAS No.1719-57-9
EINECS No.217-006-6
Structure1719-57-9
Appearance:Colorless transparent liquid
Boiling Point (°C)114
Flash Point (°C)21
Applications:All chlorosilanes react with water to produce hydrogen chloride. The remaining hydroxyl group bonds to the silicon, initially forming a silol group (analogous to alcohol).
In general, this will eventually bond to a solid oxide surface or react with another chlorosilane or silol molecule. In the latter cases, the oxygen atom forms a link between two silicon atoms, analogous to the ether linkage in organic chemicals, and identical to the bonding in silicon dioxide.
Organic chlorosilanes are usually used as coatings for silicon and glass surfaces, and in the production of silicone (polysiloxane) polymers.
Packing:Packed with 5L, 20L or 210L plastic/steel drum, 1000L IBC container, or according to customer’s requirement.
