Mode of action:
Systemic insecticide, nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonists with contact and stomach poison, can be taken up quickly by seeds, roots, stems and foliage, and translocated acropetally in the xylem.
Application:
Thiamethoxam is active against aphids, whitefly, thrips, ricehoppers, ricebugs, mealybugs, white grubs, Colorado potato beetle, flea beetles, wireworms, ground beetles, leaf miners and some lepidopterous species. For foliar and soil treatments, Thiamethoxam can protect cole crops, leafy and fruity vegetables, potatoes, rice, cotton, deciduous fruit, citrus, tobacco and soya beans for foliar and soil treatments. For seed treatment use, Thiamethoxam is effective against the corn weevil on maize and sunflower, soil and foliar pests including chinch bug, greenbug, corn leaf aphid, seed corn maggot and yellow sugar cane aphid on sorghum. Other crops include cereals, sugar beet, oilseed rape, cotton, peas, beans, rice, potatoes and stored grain.
Besides, Thiamethoxam has function as plant growth regulator, activates plant resistance proteins to make plant with robust stem and root, and grow better.
It can effectively control various pests such as aphids, spider mites, planthoppers, whiteflies, chafer larvae, potato beetles, nematodes, ground beetles, leaf miner and other pests. No cross-resistance with imidacloprid, acetamiprid, and nitenpyram. It can be used for stem and leaf treatment, seed treatment, and soil treatment. Suitable crops are rice crops, beets, canola, potatoes, cotton, kidney beans, fruit trees, peanuts, sunflowers, soybeans, tobacco, and citrus.
