Products Class
Plant Growth Regulators
6-BA (CAS NO: 1214-39-7)

Common name: 6-Benzylaminopurine, 6-BA

Chemical Abstracts name: N-(Phenylmethyl)-1H-purin-6-amineBenzylamino-purine

CAS No: 1214-39-7

Mode of action:
6-BA is a synthetic of the cytokinin B class PGR, little translocated. Accelerate cell dicision. Inhibit degradation of chlorophyll, nucleic acid and protein thus help plant to keep green and retard aging. Promote delivery of amino acid, inorganic salt and growth regulators to applied positions.

6-BA can be applied alone by foliar application, soaking, or painting, or with other PGRs like GA3. 6-BA stimulates lateral bud emergence (apples, pears, oranges), basal shoot formation (roses, orchids), flowering (cyclamen, cacti), fruit set (grapes, oranges, melons) and causes abscission of young fruitlets, leading to increased fruit size. It inhibits senescence of rice seedlings, enhances lateral bud break and lateral shoot growth, leading to fuller white pine trees, and causes uniform bolting and increased seed production in spinach.

Formulation types:
6-BA 99% TC, 6-BA 2% SL

10ML-200L for liquid formulations, 1G-25KG for solid formulations
