Benefits of managing pesticide drift

All agricultural chemicals can drift when sprayed.
There are 2 types of spray drift:
a.droplet drift - the direct airborne movement of liquid droplets away from the target intended to be sprayed
b.vapour drift - the airborne movement of vaporised agricultural chemicals from the sprayed area.

Benefits of managing pesticide drift:
1. reducing loss of pesticide from the application site,
2. keeping more of the applied pesticide on the crop, improving pest control,
3. reducing pesticide exposures to people, wildlife, and the environment, and
4. reducing risks of damage and liabilities from off-target deposition of drift.
